About

Oliver Ritthoff completed an industrial training as "Datenverarbeitungskaufmann" (data processing merchant) at the Thyssen Stahl AG in Duisburg from october 1989 to january 1992). He there was employed in the department of computer science.
Afterwards he studied computer science with minor field of study theoretical medicine at the University of Dortmund. His masters thesis entitled "mAGENTa - ein Internet-Agent zur automatischen Generierung von grafischen Benutzeroberflächen mittels maschineller Lernverfahren am Beispiel radiologischer Befunde" (mAGENTa - an internet agent for automated generation of graphical user interfaces using machine learning algorithms with an application in radiological findings) was done together with cand. Inform. Kai Bullerdick at the institute for microtherapy of the University of Witten/Herdecke.
Since january 2000 he is employed as a PhD student with main field of work in the DFG research project Sonderforschungsbereiches 531 at the AI-unit of the University of Dortmund.
